TRADE union pressure for a revision of the pay structure for BRS white collar staffs has been largely met in the agreement reached last week at a meeting of the NJIC. A pay rise is linked with a revised structure in which all but Special Class A reach maximum after three years instead of four, and there is a new London weighting allowance and improved sickness benefits for all staff.

The Two Stages Stage 1 is a general increase in provincial rates, ranging from £10 to £55. p.a., which takes effect next Monday,

December 6; an increase from £40 to £55 in the London weighting takes effect at the same time.
