AREPRESENTATIVE section of road hauliers is to be consulted on ways of speeding up exports to Europe. The consultation will be part of a major research study, to be undertaken by the Economic Development Committee for the Movement of Exports, into the factors influencing the movement of exports from UK suppliers to European customers.
The Committee announced last week that it has commissioned Martech Consultants Ltd. to carry out a preliminary investigation to determine the best procedure for carrying out the main study. The study will include an analysis of the time taken for each part of the journey, the method of transport or shipping, and the details of cost by the different routes.
