MAN will show an improved version of it.s EVB engine brake at the IAA. Mechanically the pressure-controlled EVB is little changed, but a sensor and butterfly valve control exhaust back-pressure. This improves efficiency and allows infinitely variable control via the BrakeMatic brake management system. Regulated EVB will be introduced in the first half of next year.
