Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Cumberland Motor Services last week introduced four Leyland Lynxes on local routes in Barrow.

Since Barrow Borough Transport ownership ended in May, the number of minibuses in the town has gradually reduced, and full-size buses are now in the majority again.

When competition was at its height, nearly 50 minibuses from the two competing companies ran in the town. Now Cumberland uses both singleand double-deckers to cope with demand; there are only 10 minibuses in service.

The Leyland Lynxes are the first of their type for the Stagecoach group and are built at nearby Workington.

Eleven Leyland Nationals, formerly operated by BBT, are also owned by the company and continue to run on town services.
