• Southampton haulier British International is the first British operator to take delivery of an Iveco Ford 190.32 TEC tractive unit.
The vehicle is powered by a 237kW (318hp) 9.5-litre turbocharged and intercooled engine with an Eaton Twin Splitter gearbox. It joins a fleet of 80 tractive units dominated by lveco Fords, and was supplied by Fitter Commercials.
British International runs the vehicle to France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. Operations director Peter Wolstencroft says he plans to open new depots for the company in Spain and Italy to link with existing depots in Derby, Rochdale, Caen, Bordeaux in France, and Oporto in Portugal.
