• Allport Freight division director Dave Worth (left) tool delivery of the Leyland Daf Runnerthon Roadrunner, fitted with a Besco box body last week, from Commercial Motor technical editor Bill Brock at the Arlington dealership in north-west London. During the next seven days, the vehicle will be put to work delivering and collecting air freight out of Allport's southern depots. The following week it will go into country-wide operation.
