• Parcels carrier Nexday has lined-up 28 budding entrepreneurs for the launch of its new franchise system. It aims to enlist another 300 throughout the country in the next three years.
The Northampton-based company is moving to a franchise system following its.takeover early this year by a company headed by American
franchise pioneer Jim Zockoll. The franchises were launched at the National Franchise Exhibition in London in May,
when over 100 applications were received. The first franchisee, former Nexday driver Terry Calvert, has begun operating in Kettering and Corby.
Nexday will keep most of its existing fleet for trunking to and from its Northampton hub to its nine depots, and for back-up for its franchisees. Its drivers are being encouraged to apply for franchises.
