DIESEL-engined versions of the Nissan Urvan and Cabstar are now available in the UK. . The diesel Cabstar is Offered either as a chassis cab or pick-up and is fitted with the four-cylinder 2.5-htre Nissan SD 25 engine.
The naturally-aspirated, indirect-injection unit has a maximum output of 54kW(72hp) at 4,000rpm and peak torque of 160Nin(118 lbft) at 2,000rpm. Bore and stroke is 8 9 x 1 0 0 rom .(3.5x3.9in).
. Diesel-powered Urvan panel vans are equipped with the smaller 2.3-litre SD 23 indirect-injection unit which has a maximum of 50kW(67711p t 4,000rpm and peak torqd, of 145Nm(107 lbft). The :ourcylinder in-line engine has a .bore and stroke of 89x92mm(3.5x3.6 in).
Both vehicles arc fitted with a five-speed gearbox as :standard and carry the same 028 price premium over equivalent petrol-engined 'Cabstar and Urvan models. .Diesel-powered Cabstar .Models also have a slightly higher gross vehicle. weight than petrol-engined models.
