Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Some routes in the Wolverhampton area, which require about 20 buses to operate, are likely to be handed over by the West Midlands PTE to Midland Red. The routes are outside the new West Midlands Metropolitan county boundary, inside which the PTE is taking over 413 buses from Midland Red (CM June 29).

The routes involved at Wolverhampton may be followed by others in the Walsall area. No buses or staff would be involved in the deal, which is expected to take effect on the same date that Midland Red hands over its vehicles to the PTE.
