Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The latest addition to the fleet of recovery vehicles operated by Webb Bros (Upshire) is a Volvo-based unit designed and built in the firm's own workshop.

A Volvo F88 tractive unit lengthened to provide optimum wheelbase for this particular application, carries an hydraulically operated telescopic boom with a 9ft extension capable of lifting 5 tons. A heavy-duty recovery winch is housed between the cab and lifting gear.

Hydraulically actuated stiff legs at the rear are individually controlled. A separate, manually rotated davit is fitted to permit lifts of heavy truck wheels, tools and so on. This davit has telescopic jib extension and hydraulically controlled elevation.

Equipment lockers on both sides of the unit carry a full range of portable air tools, as well as fuel and water reserves.

The company is now completing another special-purpose vehicle, an air-bag tender, for the air-lift recovery system which it has been using for some time.
