Mr. Stephen F. Bennett, managing director of British Timken division of the Timken Roller Bearing Co., has been elected to the board of the Timken Roller Bearing Co., Canton, Ohio, U.S.A.
Mr. C.. H. -Pearce, instructor at Leyland's customer training centre, has retired. His posts at Leyland have included that of field engineer in the research department and service mechanic inspector for Scotland. From 1926-31 he was chief engineer of York city transport.
The Right Hon. Lord John Hope has accepted an invitation to rejoin the board of BET. Omnibus Services, Ltd., and has been appointed an additional director. Lord John Hope was previously a director of the company from July, 1948, until his resignation in October, 1954, following his appointment to Governinent office.
Mr. J. B. L. Savery, formerly field sales executive of Standard-Triumph International, has been appointed group market promotion and training manager. following the resignation of Mr. C. B. Heath. Following the retirement of Mr. J. W. E. Wills, Mr. A. R. Medlock has been appointed contracts manager of the light units section for Leyland's special products division. Dr.-Ing. Erwin Ziebart has been appointed vice-director of Krauss-Maffei AG.
Mr. P. W. Lake and Mr. B. J. Storrar have been appointed directors of Edwin Cooper and Co., Ltd., a member company of the Castrol Group. Edwin Cooper market lubricating oil additives and other chemical products.
Mr. Stanley J..Dyal has resigned from the boards of Dick's Asbestos and Insulating Co., Ltd., and Anchor Insulating Co.. Ltd., and Mr. G. S. Wood and Mr. E Wolstenholme have been appointed directors. Mr. G. S. Wood is a director, and Mr. E. Wolstenholme is a local director, of the parent company. Mr. E. Wolstenholme also becomes a director of Frank Parker and Co., Ltd., together with the present general manager Mr. S. Lake.
