Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN automatic Argonarc welder has been produced by British Oxygen Gases, Ltd., North Circular Road, London, N.W.2. Electronic control may be used in conjunction with the machine, which is intended for welding jigged components, as well as cylindrical sections/formed from flat sheets.

The main-feature of the machine is automatic arc-length control, which is obtained by a welding head with a vertical travel of 16 in. This will follow curves and undulations on the work piece, maintaining an exact. distancc between the arc and the joint and ensuring a uniform weld deposit with controlled penetration. Good Welds on light-gauge material and on circumferential sections are guaranteed, claim the company.

Water, gas, current and other controls are operated from a remote push-button control panel, and once the correct welding conditions are set no farther action on the part of the operator is required during the welding sequence.
