• Almost all Scottish buses were back on the road by Easter after a month's strike. However, at Paisley and Johnstone Western SMT depots the men have voted not to return to work this weekend. This is their protest at having to wait until Monday for their pay rise—£17 lOs minimum for a 40-hr week.
Many strikers have found other work during the dispute—one SBG company, W. Alexander and Sons (Fife) Ltd, has lost 77 drivers.
