pRIVATE coach parties of "very doubtful legality" were causing concern, the West Midland Licensing Authority stated last week. "We have endeavoured to enforce the law by persuasive methods, but this line of action can be pursued only if there are outward and visible signs that operators are attempting to set their house in order," he stated.
" I hope that operators generally will give the matter their close attention and scrutinize very carefully the operation of private-party traffic," he added.
