• London Coastal-Coaches, Ltd., ane ganization which deals with a most extensive traffic of this class, has obtained the tenancy of a site_in LttPus Street, London, S.W.1, with the object of constructing, as an experimental measure: a large building suitable for a departure statien, capable of accommodating 150 vehicles, for the numerous services with which the company deals.

The station will be near the Victoria terminus of the Southern Railway, the site being situated between PuLlford Street and I3essborough Street, but a minute's walk from Vauxhall Bridge Road, which is one of the main arteries for south-bound coach traffic from London. Incidentally, the company's head booking office is at 7b, Lower Belgrave Street, a little distance from the departure station.

Amongst the many summer and other services which will use this point as a London terminus may be named those of the Southdown Motor Services, Ltd., to Brighton, Worthing, Seaford, Newhaven, , Eastbourne, Portsmouth and Bognor. The East Kent Road Car Co., Ltd., will be running daily services tq Deal, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, Ashford and other popular resorts. Leicester, Northampton, Fenny Stratford and Market Harboro" will be regularly served by the Mayfair Transport Co., Ltd., whilstthe vehicles of Redcar Services, Ltd.; will provide daily facilities between London, Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge.

There are, of course, many other services besides these,, notably the extensive network of routes operated by the Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd., whilst it is anticipated that the Aldershot and District Traction Co., Ltd., will be using the London departure station at an early date.

The building will be officially ready for business on April 1st, and, should the venture prove satisfactory and provided that no traffic restrictions be imposed, we understand the company is prepared to spend a large sum in equipping the station in an up-to-date way.
