FORD MOTOR Company is to open 100 UK Transit Centres, with dedicated aftersales and extended opening hours aimed at reducing whole life costs for operators.
Jon Wellsman, customer service division director, said the launch will provide sales, service, maintenance and repair for operators that will reduce downtime and costs. "Ford has the largest dealer network in the country, offering a class-leading range of CVs," he said.
Hartwell Ford in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, was the first Transit Centre to be launched in the UK, and Ford plans to upgrade 100 sites by the end of 2014.
Every site will employ a CV sales team, as well as Fordtrained technicians and specialised workshops. Other services will include: a while-youwait service, Transit24; late night appointments; and commitment to respond within 20 minutes to online service booking requests.
