THIS WEEK'S top used truck is a 2011-registered Renault Midlum curtainsider.
This 2011-registered truck is powered by a 4.8-litre Euro-5 DXi engine, which produces 180hp and 663Nm torque.
It has a day cab, with a 6.1m-long curtain-sided body and 1,000kg tuckaway tail-lift.
In two years it has done only 85,000km, which is about half the typical mileage.
In the used truck sector, the 7.5-tonne market remains active with a broad mix of end users upgrading their fleets. Prices remain firm across the spectrum, and interest in the late-year trucks, like this one, means competition to secure-quality chassis for another four to five years' work is keen.
The Midlum has developed a reputation as a solid, reliable truck but the OEM is pulling out of the 7.5-tonne sector until early 2015 when it returns in league with Nissan.
