Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN ANSWER to Mr M. Spencer's reply (CMAugust 15) concerning the Fruehauf GLZ outfit, his point is not valid as it provides no more "entertainment" to we manufacturers when reversing in other then a straight line than with a 6x2 tractor unit with a single-axle semi-trailer.

I suggest that Mr Spencer either produces a model to simulate the geometry he cannot believe, or alternatively contacts myself to be my personal guest to witness how easy the GLZ is to manoeuvre in reverse.

Anywhere one can put an artic, the GLZ will be sure to go. PRESTON C. ALLEN Crane Fruehauf Ltd Mr Spencer's original letter suggested that the GLZ drawbar outfit would provide "entertainment" for the chassis and tyre specialists with a spread of 10ft between the second and third axles when the latter is locked for reversing.
