There was a Knightly interlude in the last session of the Conference. When Molly Parkin from Manchester stood up to ask a question, Ken Hatcher congratulated her on attending her 25th RHA conference. Commented the gallant Sir Dan Pettit : " Ah, Mrs Parkin, I calculate that you must have been-five years old at the first one ! "

Other anniversaries were celebrated, too. A great deal of singing accompanied by champagne seemed to be directed, during the Conference dinner, towards Harold Russett from Bristol.
