A special bracket, designed for use with Pakshelf wall-mounted or double-sided free-standing and floor-to-ceiling shelving units, has been developed by Pakshelf. These brackets are fitted to the uprights of the Pakshelf units instead of normal shelf brackets to form racking for the storage of tubes, rods and other heavy and lengthy products and components. No shelving is used, the items for storage being "draped" across and supported by a bracket at each end. The brackets themselves have a 20deg upwards slope preventing the goods stored from falling forwards.
The brackets have been developed to overcome a specific storage problem of Reading Garage Co. Ltd., but are now in production for supply to industry generally. At Reading Garage. the brackets are being used in conjunction with double-sided Pakshelf free-standing units for the storage of heavy half-shaft units. Forty brackets are fitted to each of the 22in. wide by 72in. high Pakshelf units, providing 20 separate storage sections which will each take two or three halfshafts, depending on size. Labels are fixed to the brackets to facilitate identification of the various types and sizes stocked.
Brackets are available in lengths from Sin, to 16in. They have a load capacity of 150Ih each, or 300Ib per pair when fixed at centres of up to 3f Made by: Pakshelf Ltd., 88 Hadley Gardens, Southall, Middx,
