Larry M. Hotchkies, 33. has been appointed general sales manager, York Trailer Co. Ltd. Mr. Hotchkies was previously vice-president of York's Canadian associate company and spearheaded York's penetration of the US container market. Keith N. Buckby, 42, previously deputy sales manager, becomes manager—sales engineering. His main function will be to provide a technical information service for customers. Mr. lauckby has been with York since 1959. Jeffrey C. Harrison, 29, previously sales promotion manager, now takes on the post of marketing manager —trailers, with overall responsibility for the marketing of the company's trailers in both home and overseas markets. Peter G. Jefrcock, 42, formerly sales manager--containers, now becomes manager—sales administration, with overall responsibility for the provision of sales information services.
David Howard, assistant director of engineering of the Amey Group Ltd., civil engineers, Oxford, has been appointed director of planning with the Passenger Transport Executive of the new Tyneside PTA. Mr. Howard was selected from a short-list of 11. Bert Thompson, of Newcastle Corporation's legal advisers' depot., has been appointed joint secretary of the PTA and the Executive.
T. A. Dunstan has been appointed traffic manager of the North Western Road Car Co. Ltd. Mr. Dunstan was previously manager of Hebble Motor Services Ltd. William R. Bryan. 43, has been appointed sales manager of Cawoods Containers Ltd.. Belfast. Mr. Bryan joined Cawoods in 1968 and has been in the transport industry for 20 years, for the most part engaged in the organization and development of unit load and container services.
E. G. Dravers has been appointed traffic manager of Southdown Motor Services Ltd., to succeed J. C. Ctymo who leaves at the end of the month to become general manager of Jamaica Omnibus Services Ltd. Mr, Dravers is a former g.m. of Hebble Motor Services Ltd.. and recently was g.m. of Magnet Bowling Ltd. la BET subsidiary). George Crabbe, 63, chief forwarding clerk of the Paddington depot of National Carriers Ltd.. has been presented with a £25 cheque for an idea he put forward under the company's staff suggestions scheme. Mr. Crabbe drew up a set of guide notes for staff who have to deal with traffic for the Continent. These have now been adopted and officially issued by the company.
