CARRYING 3m. TO BLACKPOOL

NAORE than 3m. people were brought IVI to Blackpool in a year by Ribble, Standerwick, Scout and other joint operators, stated Mr. H. Bottomley, managing director of W. C. Slanderwick, Ltd., and general manager of

'Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., at the Standerwick company's annual staff dinner, last week.

"Easy Way" holidaymakers in Blackpool numbered 821 in 1950, 1,121 in 1951, and 1,675 in 1952, he 'said. During this year's illuminations period Standerwick carried a record number of people (64,309) on excursions to see the lights. This compared with 50,246 in 1951.

A total pf 700,000 people was carried into the town daring the 1952 illuminations period by the three concerns and joint operators.
