• If you suspect that your truck alternator isn't charging your larger capacity or extra batteries adequately, check out Merlin Equipment's latest range of Balmer alternators. They are the same size as the original equipment but are said to deliver up to 35% more power. The hand-built assemblies have heavy-duty bearings, coated inner components and hand-wound stators. Poolebased Balmar also sells twinoutput alternators for split charging systems and versions to suit vapour-sensitive tankers.
