TRIO ADDS EIGHT • Milton Keynes-based Trio Containers has added eight 24tonne GVW 6x4 Muthin and Rolonof container handling chassis to its range of vehicles available for hire to contractors and local authorities. The company's first 30-tonne eightwheelers began operating earlier this month.
The latest vehicles are intended primarily for local authorities taking over waste disposal responsibilities from the now-defunct metropolitan councils, but without sufficient container handling vehicles to meet their new needs. The service is claimed to be the first of its kind to be provided by a specialist vehicle hire company.
The Trio container handlers are available on the same series of flexible hire arrangements as its skip loaders. They can be hired for periods from one week to four years, and long-term hire arrangements may be linked to purchase.
