• Cartransport, the Nation l'inight Consortium's car delivery firm, has invested more than £800,000 in 27 new Scania P92M RCs and 17 Lohr trailers.
The new vehicles will be used on Cartransport's new contracts with Jaguar and Saa Ten are tractive units whicl will be used with existing Loh trailers to carry Jaguar or Pet geot Talbot vehicles.
The remaining 17 are rigid drawbar vehicles with a 5.4m wheelbase, which will be use in conjunction with the new Lohr trailers to carry up to nine Saabs on each journey.
Cartransport's Richard Joy( says: "Our contract with Saat had an indirect bearing on ow choice of Scanias, but we believe the Scania is the best vehicle for the job."
The 27 new vehicles are being gradually phased into Cartransport's 160-strong fleet, and should be fully operational by mid June.
