Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Dutch have improved their methods of plugging Leaks since the days of the legendary finger in the dyke, it seems. Holnaatro of Holland has come up with a novel system for emergency repairs to leaking tanks called the Vacupad The heart of the Vacu-pad system is a vacuum compartment which holds a pad firmly in place on any reasonably smooth surface — curved or flat — to stop a leak. The seal can be strengthened with the

use of straps around the leaking tank and air bags to exert more pressure on the vacuum pad.

Once the pad is securely in place, any remaining liquid in the tank can he discharged at a controlled rate via a PVC nosing in the pad.

The Holmatro Vacu-pad is available in the UK from Fire Safety Equipment.
