A NEW 50-tonne capac weighbridge and associat approach road, provided by 1 British Transport Docks Bout a cost of over £85,000, vi commissioned at Garst Docks, Merseyside, this week The new weighbridge is sii at the north end of the por Stalbridge Dock. It is ful automatic and is equipped w a 60 ft. weighing platform. Lo vehicles can be weighed with de-coupling the tractor ur speeding the turnround vehicles and reducing cong, tion to a minimum.
The new machine, whi replaces an older 40 ft. weic. bridge, is also designed to gi individual axle weights.
