SIGNED by about 400 long-distance lorry drivers, a petition supporting the erection of a proper filling station beside the Cosy Café, on the StaffordCannock road, was produced at a public inquiry at Stafford last week.
The inquiry was into an appeal by Blackfords Garage, Ltd., against the refusal of the Stafford Rural District Council, on behalf of Staffordshire -County Council, to allow the construction of a filling station at Bednall.
