Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

YOU have got to put your house in order and I will take no excuses in future," Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon, Northern Licensing Authority, warned Mr. J. R Taylor, Great Strickland. Penrith, last week, when Mr. Taylor, on behalf of his wife, sought to take over a vehicle previously licensed in the name of Mr. J. Hogarth, Great Strickland.

Mr. Taylor explained that because ot delay in completing the sale and the fact that his daughter, who looked after the clerical side of the business, had been occupied with her own young child, the expiry of the vehicle's B licence had been overlooked.

The expiry had apparently occurred in July, 1955, said Mr. F. Milton, for Mr. Taylor, hut on receipt of a letter from the Authority the vehicle had immediately been taken off the road. Mr. Taylor now had a full-time clerk.

The vehicle was at present being used under a C licence in connection with the applicant's business as a builder. The application was adjourned so that figures could he produced concerning the haulage side of Mr. Taylor's activities.
