TN the Queen's Bench Division on ATuesday, Bulwark Transport, Ltd., Chepstow, were ordered to pay £5,500 damages to a former employee, George Goodwin Stone, aged 45, Mill Lane, Coddenham, near Ipswich, for injuries he suffered when a milk•tanker he was driving in a fog crashed into a garage at Brentwood, Essex, in 1954.
Mr. Justice Hilbery said that he was satisfied that on running suddenly into a bank of fog, the plaintiff applied his brakes, which failed. Stone suffered grievous injuries and would never he able to drive a heavy lorry again.
