Ltd., Portsmouth, were taken over by Southdown Motor Services, Ltd., who have bought the whole of the share capital from the Proprietor, Mr. F. B. Ford.
Triumph Coaches were a subsidiary company of Hants and Sussex Motor Services, Ltd., and were purchased by Mr. Ford in March, 1955.
They run excursions and tours from Portsmouth and express services from Portsmouth to Bristol, Birmingham, Reading, Portland, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Gloucester and Plymouth for Service personnel from naval and army establishments.
Mr. Gordon Privett continues to manage the business.
