To satisfy the demands of their older • drivers a n d conductors, the C.U.T.C.S.A. undertaking of Montevideo. Uruguay, is to rebuild 24 Leyland single-deckers which have been operated for more than 20 years. The company have ordered a number of Tiger TS.8 chassis frame side-members and some original 8.6-litre engines. The bodies will be built in C.U.T.C.S.A. workshops.

The rebuilt vehicles, together with 152 others of the same type which are still operating, contrast with. 200 modern vehicles which Leyland Motors, Ltd., have supplied in recent years. There are also 82 Tiger OPS:1 single-deckers in service.
