Stressed at the TER.T.A. Conference THISyear's conference of the Tramways, Light Railways and Transport Association will take place at Llandudno. The informal reception by the chairman, Col, S. E. Smith, C.B.E. , J.P., will be at the headquarters (the Grand Hotel) at 9 p.m. on Tuesday next. The golf tournament, however, starts at 10 a.m, that day. The proceedings on the succeeding days will be as follow:—
June 5: 10 a.m., official reception by the chairman of Llandudno Urban District Council; 10.30 a.m., annual general meeting;, 11 a.m., paper by Mr. S. J. Patmore (General Electric Co., Ltd.) on "Lighting as an Aid to Passenger Transport "; 12.45 p.m., departure for Rhos-on-Sea; 1.30 p.m., luncheon at Rhos Abbey Hotel, followed by a swimming and diving exhibition; 7.45 p.m,, annual dinner, dance and cabaret at Grand Hotel.
June 6: 10 a.m., papers by Mr. H. Blomeley, A , M ,I.Mech .E. (Clayton Dewandre Co., Ltd.), on "Heating and Ventilation of Motor Vehicles,"
and Mr. j. E. Calverley, M.I.E.E. (English Electric Co., Ltd.), on "The Electrical Equipment of Trolley Vehicle Routes "; 2.30 p.m., motorcoach excursion as guests of Crosville Motor Services, Ltd.; 9.30 p.m., civic reception, dance and cabaret at Grand Hotel.
