Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With four steps required to gain access to the Actros, a little extra effort is needed, but the benefit is immediately apparent. A flat floor and ample storage space means life in the MegaSpace cab is uncluttered and comfortable, whether you’re relaxing in the seats or reclining on the bunks.

Headroom of 1,960mm across the whole cab is an obvious benefit, but extra space can also be found by folding the passenger seat base up to give more room to manoeuvre in the passenger footwell. Even with the convenient pull-out table in position, the MegaSpace cab gives you enough room to dress comfortably.

The large, flat dashboard area is great for storing washbags and other items needed as the night sets in, and the sunroof blind and curtains do a brilliant job of keeping out unwanted light. Despite having only the perimeter curtains drawn, the thick material kept out enough light to allow our tester to sleep through the early morning sunshine without interruption.

Both bunks are comfortable, and although the lower one – which is slightly narrower than the top one at 720mm compared with 830mm – is likely to get more use as the heating, lighting and radio controls are only on the lower deck, we actually found the top bunk with its orthopaedic mattress far more comfortable. Internal lighting is good, with decent strength reading lights as well as more ambient lighting. The night heater is also formidable, and can be programmed for short bursts of warmth or set to reach a predetermined temperature.

Most importantly when it comes to packing up for the day-shift, the Actros provides an abundance of storage points with five decent-sized covered internal spaces (as well as four external) and an impressive 21 open storage points suitable for anything from maps and drink bottles, to CDs and other personal belongings.
