• A police squad set up to investigate truck thefts says it has made "considerable dents" in nationwide crime ring.

So far 10 people have been charged and more prosecutions are in the pipeline, says detective in charge Det Supt John Rees. "We have certainly lowered the numbers of thefts," he claims.

The other S108 is registered E827 ERY. It is finished in ARC livery and has chassis number 400 768 with engine number 235115929. The cab has five amber market lights on the roof and the truck is powered by a Cununins 290 L10 driving through a 13-speed Fuller gearbox.

A third tipper was stolen in Guiseley, West Yorkshire last week, from owner-operator David Sharp. the 4x2 Dodge G16 is registered XCC508V and has a dark blue cab and body.
