Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Road transport firms are not looking before leaping into third party brewery distribution to pubs. Untrained employees are being injured as a result, warns the Brewery Transport Advisory Committee.

Several of Britain's biggest distribution groups have gone into the market "out of the blue", promising to cut costs at breweries operating ownaccount fleets — but often they do not forsee the problems in delivering heavy kegs to pub cellars and first-floor storerooms, says Bill Montague, BTAC secretary. Brewery distribution has the highest injury rate in road transport, and draymen must be especially careful, he warns.
