Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The first tanker to be fitted with Drum Engineering's AD Pack modular discharge system for combined hose and bulk deliveries has gone into service with Scottish fuel distributor Highland Fuels.

For hose reel deliveries, the hydraulically-driven pump is adjusted at the trigger nozzle. At the end of each delivery, the pump slows to a trickle with the pressure reducing from 690 to 138kN/m2. This protects the entire system and increases component life, says Drum.

With bulk discharging, flow rates of over 700litres/min are possible and these, say Highland Fuel, are reducing its delivery times by around 50%.

Delivery lines are selfclearing and reels are hydraulically rewound.
