Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Designed to assist tyre distributors and repairers to recut the treads of truck tyres or to regroove the plug after a repair has been carried out, a regrooving stand—the Grumac—has been produced. by Grantham Rubber Machinery.

Triangular side-frames carry a. shelf for supporting the grooving tool and its transformer unit (if it is a separate unit) together with boxes of spare blades. There is also a screwed stop fitted with a hand wheel which steadies the tyre in the frame and prevents it from moving from side to side when cutting a zig-zag tyre tread pattern. The lower front crossmember of the frame is fitted with a tubular roller to facilitate tyre rotation. At the rear the tyre is supported by an angular cross member against which it rests during the grooving process. The weight of the tyre bearing on the edges of the angle iron prevents rotation whilst re-grooving. Made by: Grantham Rubber Machinery Co Ltd, PO Box 24; Gonerby Hill Foot, Grantham, Lincolnshire.
