Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An improvement in fuel consumption of petrol-engined vehicles of 10/20 per cent when the vehicle is cruising is claimed for the Caravac exhaust extractor produced by Autoclean (Merchandising). Extraction is provided by .a self-propelled rotating vane mounted on PTFE bushes.

The device is available in five sizes which cover the majority of tail pipe diameters and can be fitted in two minutes. According to the makers, a test of a Ford Capri car equipped with the extractor that was carried out by the Automobile Association showed a saving in consumption of the order mentioned.
