Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A solenoid-operated check valve operating on the pressure differential principle has been introduced by Adan Hydraulics. it has a capacity of 10 gpm at 2500 psi and is available in JIC sub-plate-mounted or threadedbody form. Valves of two and three-port configurations are produced that are suitable for ac or dc operation.

The principle of operation of the two-port valve is such that when oil flows through the System the poppet assembly acts as a normal non-return valve. The system is unlocked by a solenoid, actuation of which provides free flow in the reverse direction. Operation of the threeport valve is basically similar but fixed or variable flow restriction can be incorporated.

Principal applications for the valves are in single-acting, lifting and clamping systems where simplification of the circuit, and hence a cost saving, can be achieved. And there are many applications to circuits requiring electrical control of a positive locking valve. The maker points out that valves of this type could be produced covering a wide rang e,of capacities.
