Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A pneumatically powered handoperated lightweight metal shear with angled head introduced by the Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Co is known as the CP 3017 and is available in two models, the LB and LBA. Both models are designed to cut 14 swg mild steel to a minimum radius of ain. (19mm), the former cutting in line with the axis of the motor, and the latter featuring a right angled cutting head. This is especially valuable for trimming the inside edge of a cut-out section, or for similar finishing work involving difficulties of manoeuvring.

The shear is designed for low air consumption requiring not more than 18 Cu ft/min at 90psi. Power for the reciprocating head is provided by a rotaryvane-type air motor, the drive being transmitted through *

owlcyclic reduction gearing. The motor casing has an exhaust ring which can be turned to direct air away from the operator. It is a simple matter to rotate the head of the tool to change the position of the hand throttle to top or bottom and relock.

Weighing 4Ib (1.8kg), the shear is designed for ease of operation and reduction of fatigue when used for long periods. loommi Maintenance is simple, with access through a grease cap for cleaning and repacking the head.
