Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A system of repairing the fuel tanks of commercial vehicles evolved by Repairite can be applied without the use of heat. It is claimed that the system provides complete safety. Draining all the fuel from the tank is unnecessary. Unskilled labour can be employed and a typical split seam repair is said to cost around £1. The repaired tank can be put back into service within eight hours.

Where the split is readily accessible there is no need to remove the tank from the vehicle. An area on both sides of the seam is cleaned so that it is free from paint, oil, grease and all loose deposits. Equal parts of the Repairite metal base and activator paste are thoroughly mixed, until the two shades of grey completely merge into one homogenous shade.

This paste is then applied liberally over the prepared area using a spatula or palette knife. The special reinforcement tape provided is stippled into the Repairite and a further layer applied.
