• A Yorkshire operator, Mr Richard Arthur Morphet, of Settle, with no mechanical qualifications whatsoever, "tried to take on the impossible" and attempted to maintain his two Ford coaches and minibus without any outside help, Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners were told when he appeared before them under Section 127 last week. In evidence he said that he had since arranged for a Lancaster garage to maintain both coaches; a maintenance pit had been made available for his use and he would maintain the minibus. The Commissioners, revoking one psv licence, warned Mr Morphet he would not be given a second chance.
