Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

from a 1966 Bedford 'KG 7รท-tonner fitted with 900 x 20 tyres? The vehicle is used on milk collection from farms and is averaging 13.5 m.p.g.

AWhen COMMERCIAL MOTOR tested a

Bedford KG 7.5-tonner with 7.95/5.83 to 1 axle, 330 cu. in. diesel engine and 9.0020 tyres, the laden fuel consumption figures were 15.1 m.p.g. at 30/35 m.p.h. and 11.2 m.p.g. at motorway speeds.

This test was carried out with a vehicle laden to the manufacturer's gross weight rating. The figure you are already getting of 13.5 m.p.g. appears reasonable particularly as stop-and-start work is involved.
