THE standard Scammell horizontal 10ton winch will in future be supplied as an air-operated model replacing the previous mechanical-operated unit.
The winch brake and dog clutch are operated by air operated brake chambers activated by valves, positioned inside the cal immediately behind the driver. These are operated in conjunction with the engine clutch, P.T.O. and accelerator.
