THE general finance committee of Glasgow Corporation has agreed to contribute £80,000 from the rates towards concession travel by elderly people on municipal transport. This sum covers the period from February 1 to May 31.
An annual rates contribution of £250,000 is to be given to the transport department to help cover the estimated loss of revenue in operating the concession travel scheme.
