RESERVING his decision on an application by Tartan Arrow Service Ltd. to switch 10 articulated vehicles from London to their new Glasgow depot in connection with their own liner train services, the Scottish Licensing Authority, Mr. A. B. Birnie, suggested in Glasgow on Wednesday that surplus vehicles were being held by BRS and other carriers.
Mr. Derek W. Cooper, joint managing director of Tartan Arrow, told the LA that if the 10 vehicles were authorized for Glasgow they would "only just" be sufficient to meet requirements; on certain occasions his firm would need to hire.
