the road trans. port industry was liable to become involved in some kind of subsidy for the railways, said Col. A. Jerrett (president of the Traders' Road Transport Association), at a dinner, last week, of the Merseyside branch of the Industrial Transport Association at Liverpool. Mr. L. E. Myers presided.
Col. Jeriett said that transport was in a difficult plight. No amount of nationalization or other measures, would put it right until the railways put their own house in order.
