ABUILT-IN umbrella stand is one of the accessories of a de luxe committee coach designed for Doncaster Corporation by Mr. T. Potts. general manager of the tramways department. The vehicle is large enough to allow, a committee to have a round-the-table discussion when travelling. A Leyland Cheetah short-wheelbase low-loading chassis forms the basis of the vehicle, which has a front-entrance body by C. H. Roe, Ltd., of Leeds. Normally, a Cheetah chassis of this type carries a 26-seater body, hut, in this case, the seating is limited to 16 passengers. Four of the seats, which are of the armchair pattern, are made to swivel to face an oval walnut table in the centre of the body, between two three-passenger seats arranged longitudinally over the rear wheel-arches. Other equipment includes loose carpets, a heater and a radio set.
