• A Mammoth Major 6-V8 6 x 4 tractive unit for 56 tons gcw will be one of the AEC exhibits at the Commercial Motor Show in September. Other AECs to be exhibited are a 32-ton Mandator, 25-ton Mercury prime mover and a Sabre 12m ECW-bodied Coach with the V8 engine—the first bodied version of this chassis.

Albion will be showing Clydesdale and Reiver variants, and Bristol a 410-engined LH single-decker for Western National and an RELL single-deck service bus with a rear under-floor Leyland 500 horizontal engine and a fully automatic four-speed gearbox. Two more Bristols, a VRT o-m-o double-decker and an LH o-m-o

Guy will be showing five Big J models (with new versions among them), while Leyland will have Super Beaver, Lynx. Bison and gas turbine vehicles on display as well as the eagerly awaited Leyland National integral city hut. Under the Leyland Redline (ex-BMC) name will be shown six four-wheelers ranging from 6.5-ton to 12-ton gym,.

Park Royal and Roe will be showing four double-deckers, including a 68-scat Fleetline for o-m-o work with London Transport.
